We here at Bluebelle and Co love a bit history to go with our fashion, Which is probably why we adore our new 1916 range as much as we do! Combining our love of beautiful and bold prints with local history will always be a winner for us!
The name of the new range from disaster designs pays homage to the artist Vanessa bell and her husband Duncan Grant who moved to charleston farmhouse in Lewes, just a stone's throw away from our beloved Brighton, in 1916. There they created an artistic haven for people such as Virginia Woolf, Clive Bell and
many other of their artistic friends and family. It was here the Bloomsbury set was established, becoming one of Great Britain's most influential art movements of the 20th century.
Our 1916 range is inspired by this small piece of art history, with its gorgeous oil painted floral prints and stunningly beautiful colour palette. It has brought a beautiful bit of history to us, in a fabulously modern and on trend way.
