1916 Floral Satchel by House of Disaster



The gorgeous 1916 satchel from disaster designs is sure to brighten up any day! This bag is a traditionally shaped satchel in a gorgeous rich brown as the base colour. On the front it features a stunning floral oil painting design in soft spring colours. It also has a gorgeously bold dark pink tassel.
The bag fastens with two silver button studs. It has a small compartment on the front of the bag making it easy to keep everything organised and easy to find! It also has an adjustable shoulder strap.

1916 was the year the artist Vanessa Bell and her writer husband Duncan Grant moved to Charleston farmhouse near Lewes, East Sussex. Vanessa’s sister Virginia Woolf, and other artistic friends and family regularly gathered here. In doing so, the Bloomsbury set was established, creating one of Great Britain’s most influential art movements of the 20th Century.
